Well I suppose that I should at least pop in and let you all know that I am still alive, and make a VERY long overdue post as well:
On June 18th I went to Nashville to see my brother, his wife, and daughter. We didn't do a lot while I was there but it was fun anyway. That friday , we went to a race at the Music City Motorplex (NICE place), then on tuesday we went to a nascar simulator at Opry Mills Mall and got to walk around the place. That mall is absolutely HUGE! It has to be at least a mile long. I saw three movies while I was there. I saw Nacho Libre, Cars,and XMEN 3. I got home on July 2nd and that is pretty much all I did.
Last night I went to the "D.U.I Experience" at the Towerline Speedway in Pekin. What they do is put you in a go-kart with these goggels that are designed to obscure your vision as if you have had three beers or so. The go-kart track is covered with road cones, stuffed animals, and beach balls that ar supposed to represent people or animals. I am happy to say that I did not pass  . I hit six cones and the wall, which means that I am a very bad drunk driver!
On sunday, I plan to watch the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch that is, if it is televised.
